Social Media Plan
Instagram is the first social media picked for this program. Instagram is very popular with people in the target age range (18–24). It lets the program make visually appealing content, which is good for raising awareness about mental health and encouraging peer support. The program will be able to Share short videos, infographics, and student testimonials that show how the peer support program has helped them. As well as live Q&As and quick mental health tips, the program can also use Instagram Stories and Reels to show what goes on behind the scenes at training sessions. Lastly, the program will Post during peak times when students are most active, such as evenings and weekends.

TikTok was the second social media site the program chose because of its short-form video content that is very interesting and can quickly grab the attention of the target audience. On this platform, the program will talk about mental health issues. CAPS will be able to use TikTok to make short, relatable videos that talk about the value of peer support, share success stories, and give mental health advice. CAPS will also use hashtags and challenges that are trendy right now to get more attention which will help students to make their own content related to the program. And the program will be posting often, especially in the late afternoons and evenings, when students are most likely to be on TikTok. These platforms will help get the word out about the CAPS mental health peer support program and get more students to join by involving them.
